CLUB/LS HISTORY: I’ve been involved in life saving for around 30 years and find it one of the most rewarding ways to contribute to my local community. The number of people, both individuals and families, who feel that little bit better and confident about their time at the beach is in large part because they see people like me wearing red and yellow. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to have competed over those years in surf boat rowing, it’s a sport that brings people together as you rely heavily on the other members of the crew to ensure you all get out and back safely, and hopefully quickly. Lifesaving is something families can do together, the activities may vary however a club like Mordialloc does so much to make it easy to include all the family, it’s one of our key values.
