Member Welfare

Member Welfare

Mordialloc Life Saving Club is committed to the wellbeing and protection of all our members, and to provide a safe environment for everyone who participates in our activities. We want lifesaving to be fun, enjoyable and safe for all members.

As a responsibility of being a member of Mordialloc Life Saving Club it is important that you are aware of and uphold the MLSC Code of Conduct Policy, along with the SLSA Member Protection Policy.

Like all lifesaving clubs and in conjunction with Surf Life Saving Australia and Life Saving Victoria, MLSC have appointed Member Protection and Information Officers (MPIO) who are the first point of contact in a club or sporting organisation for any enquiries, concerns or complaints around harassment, abuse and other inappropriate behaviour. The MPIO provides information and moral support to the person with the concern.

Grant Rattenbury

Sue Clark

Both Grant and Sue joined MLSC over 20 years ago. They both became hard working members and were appropriately made life members and life governors. As MPIOs they are both passionate about creating a safe, fair and inclusive sport, free of discrimination, harassment and abuse.

Do you wish to make a complaint about another club member?

The SLSA Complaints Resolution Policy outlines clear steps for complainants, respondents, and complaint handlers when complaints arise.

Before you lodge a formal complaint have you:

  1. attempted to speak to and resolve your grievance with the Respondent?
  2. discussed your grievance with your MLSC MPIO?

If not, you are encouraged to attempt the above before lodging a complaint under the policy.

If you would like to make a formal complaint or seek further information on how to receive support, please complete the contact form below.
