Masters

Masters

The scope and diversity of the Mordialloc Life Saving Club extends to the master’s competitors who are seen competing in all disciplines we have available at the Club. These members (all over 30 years of age) are invaluable, they help with Nippers, water safety, our schools’ program, officiating at Carnivals and still find time to compete in master’s events.

The Masters are a credit to our club and have dramatically grown over the past 5 years. It is all about participation, not the result and quite often you see them working on their social skills upstairs in the clubroom after training or competition. You often wonder how they always come home from competition with a raft of medals amongst them from the State Championships!

If you are keen to get involved, we have active male and female Masters’ members. To qualify to compete at the Master’s Championships, you will need to have your Bronze Medallion link to LSV website and complete the required 16 hours of patrol or water safety. Many Masters join without any prior experience on a board or a ski – link to disciplines competed at Masters championships they just have a great level of enthusiasm and a want to get involved and have fun! Master’s training is integrated into the Club’s overall program.

Training schedule:

Board training – Tuesday and Thursdays 5pm

Ski Training – Tuesday & Thursday 5.00pm – with other sessions offered during season

Iron Training – Saturday morning 9.30am

Beach Sprint Training – Monday & Wednesday 5.00pm – training is either at the club or at Mordialloc FC oval. This is circulated by coaches through our communication platforms.
